我也不是信徒，可是對這段文字有深入印象，因為那也是一首美國風行老歌《Turn! Turn! Turn!》的歌詞，原作者是民歌手西格（Pete Seeger），另一位民歌手柯琳絲（Judy Collins）翻唱並加上副題「To Everything There is a Season」，成為國際熱門歌曲的是《飛鳥樂團》（The Byrds）的1965年版．歌詞幾近完全抄自《舊約傳道書》，因為適切的反映60年月的世局，當年廣受接待，使人傷感的是它依然合用於本日的世局，恰是「讀史早知本日事，看花猶是客歲人」（節自歷史學家陳寅恪《吳氏園海棠其二》）．
